Malaysia’s journey towards freedom continues today with the release of Anwar Ibrahim.
We welcome Anwar back to the free world and wish him, as well as his family, the very best.
We are grateful for the Royal Pardon that he has received.
Today has been a historic day, not only for Anwar and his family, but all Malaysians.
Indeed, today is a day of victory for our beloved country and its people.
It is a victory against years of injustice, against fear and despair.
Against the idea that freedom would never come to Malaysia and that the cause of KEADILAN was futile.
But it is also a victory for the people of Malaysia who never lost faith in Anwar, or the struggle of KEADILAN and Pakatan Harapan.
It is a victory for Malaysians who kept alive the fire of hope, of liberty and justice in their hearts.
