The JPP has released a statement on the controversies surrounding the current KEADILAN party elections.
I urge all members to remain calm.
As I have said earlier, no conclusions should be drawn until after the official announcement of the results have been made.
However, the party leadership should take note of the many complaints that have been raised regarding the elections process, not only from members and candidates from all sides.
Let’s not just nitpick one or two divisions that benefit one side but the entire process.
Members from all walks of life, races and religions came down to vote. Voting was based on ideas not colour or creed. We should be proud of what KEADILAN has achieved as Malaysia’s most successful multiracial party.
As such, they should take whatever steps they see fit to ensure the integrity of the 2018 and future party elections is secured.
They must be responsive to aspirations and expectations of all Malaysians.
