Parliament will be dissolved tomorrow, paving the way for our beloved country’s 14th General Elections.
I hope that the relevant authorities will allow all political parties to campaign peacefully and as widely as possible. Moreover, all political parties should be allowed an adequate campaigning period and full access to the mainstream media.
I believe Pakatan Harapan provides the best option for Malaysia, its people and our common future.
I will do all I can to persuade my fellow Malaysians—and the voters in the constituency I will seek election to—of the truth of this fact.
It is time for us to leave behind the fear, scandal and division of the past.
Our country is ready to embrace hope, as well as a better, fairer life for all its people.
The choice is stark: stagnation or to moving forward together, as Malaysians.
But beyond all this, the elections are crucial to reinforce and reinvigorate democracy as a key principle in our national life.
I therefore again urge all Malaysians—especially the young—to go out and vote.
The country’s future—and your own—is in your hands. Let us rebuild Malaysia and fulfil our nation’s hopes.
