The announcement that airplane debris found on the Reunion Island is from the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 should spur the relevant authorities to redouble their efforts to find the plane.
I urge the Government of Malaysia and its international partners to not rest until the body of MH370 is found and the remains of the passengers and crew are returned to their families.
While the identification is indeed a breakthrough, closure cannot come without getting to the bottom of why this tragedy occurred.
Most importantly, our heartfelt sympathy and prayers remain with the loved ones of the passengers and crew at this time.
We hope all Malaysians will come together behind them in these difficult times.
